 Written4Today.net exists for the soul purpose that you may know the truth of God's word. And one of the sure ways you can know the truth is to study the bible for yourself as well. So, that's why I have included so many articles to whet your appetite for truth (note: the word “whet” in this sentence means to sharpen one’s appetite for truth. This is the correct word usage). For there are so many Christians who are just playing follow the leader with those teachers who in turn have done the same thing as well. Yes, many leaders and followers are embracing the watered-down doctrines of man instead of what God's word clearly teaches. I can say this because I to was just playing follow the leader as well. However, over time, God open my eyes to see those passages that are being wrongfully preached. And know I'm sharing what I've learned with you the reader. Now, I'm not saying that these same leaders mentioned are not saved. Nor am I saying that everything that comes out of their mouth is false. But they as well as their listeners may be missing out on some needed truth.

So, pick up your bible and study it. Ask God to teach you the full truth of his word from cover to cover. For as John the apostle said: "But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him." (1 John 2:27) But where did John get his information from? Wasn't it from the Word that was made flesh, Jesus Christ himself. For Jesus said: "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." (John 14:26 ESV)

Therefore, I encourage you to: "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15)

The one who penned this website had the blessed opportunity to be part of a church in a small Retirement community. Here he was able to serve and even preach a few times. Also, he was part of a house church which he believes is the ideal church. Now, he takes part in local churches in his current hometown where he hopes to bless and be blessed. Now, just to let you know, he didn't get this learning from any Bible College or Seminary school, for he relies on the Holy Spirit's teachings. Yes, he does believe we need gifted teachers and leaders to encourage us in the faith and to make sure things run as they should. But even then, it's the Holy Spirit that reaffirms the truth of God's word which is spoken or preached. For just as it was for Peter and John, it should be the same for all us believers as well: "Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus." (Acts 4:13) Yes, they had been with Jesus. This makes all the difference in the world for us who believe. So, let's be like those of Berea: "The brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so." (Acts 17:10-11 NASB95)
